Getting Started
Creating an account is easy! Click the "Login" button in the header, then select "Sign Up" on the login page. You'll need to provide:
- A valid email address
- A unique username
- A secure password
Once registered, verify your email to activate your account and start exploring Society+.
After logging in, click on your username in the header and select "Profile Settings." From there you can:
- Upload a profile picture
- Add a bio describing yourself
- Set your location (optional)
- List your interests and skills
- Choose privacy settings
Societies
To create your own society:
- Navigate to the "Societies" page
- Click the "Create Society" button
- Fill in the required information:
- Society name
- Description and purpose
- Category/tags
- Privacy settings (public or private)
- Add a cover image and logo (optional but recommended)
- Set membership rules
- Click "Create" to launch your society
Browse societies on the "Societies" page or search for specific topics. When you find one you like:
- Public societies: Click "Join" to become a member immediately
- Private societies: Click "Request to Join" and wait for approval from moderators
Once you're a member, you can participate in discussions, create posts, and collaborate with other members.
As a society creator/moderator, you have access to moderation tools:
- Approve or deny membership requests
- Remove members who violate rules
- Delete or hide inappropriate posts
- Pin important announcements
- Appoint additional moderators
- Update society settings and rules
Access these tools from your society's settings page.
Posts & Content
There are three types of posts on Society+:
- Ideas: Share creative solutions, proposals, or suggestions
- Issues: Highlight problems that need attention
- General: Regular updates, discussions, or announcements
To create a post:
- Click "Create Post" from your feed or within a society
- Select the post type
- Write your title and content
- Add images, links, or files (optional)
- Choose location (for local posts) or select a society
- Add relevant tags
- Click "Publish"
Yes! Click the three-dot menu on any of your posts and select:
- Edit: Modify the content (an "edited" tag will appear)
- Delete: Permanently remove the post
Note: Deleting a post also removes all comments and reactions associated with it.
Initiatives
Initiatives are collaborative projects aimed at solving problems or achieving goals. To create one:
- Go to the "Initiatives" page
- Click "Start Initiative"
- Define your goal and objectives
- Set milestones and timeline
- Describe what help you need
- Add location (for local initiatives)
- Publish to start recruiting collaborators
Once published, others can join and contribute their skills to make it happen.
Browse initiatives and find one that matches your interests or skills:
- Click on an initiative to view details
- Review the goals and what help is needed
- Click "Join Initiative"
- Specify how you can contribute
Once joined, you can post updates, collaborate with other members, and track progress toward milestones.
Privacy & Safety
Yes. We take privacy seriously:
- We never sell your data to third parties
- All connections are encrypted (HTTPS)
- You control what information is public
- You can download or delete your data anytime

If you encounter inappropriate content or behavior:
- Click the three-dot menu on the post/comment
- Select "Report"
- Choose the reason (spam, harassment, etc.)
- Add details (optional)
- Submit the report
Our moderation team reviews reports within 24 hours. You can also block users directly from their profile.

- Refresh the page
- Clear your browser cache and cookies
- Try a different browser
- Check your internet connection
